The most welcoming pub I have been to for a very long time. The landlord Paul makes you feel like a "local from the moment you walk through the door well worth a visit
Cozy? oh Yes!. All services are inexpensive!! Clientele of mostly successful but down to earth people, who I have found to be the epitomy of hospitality. Landlord has uniquely generous approach to life, and lives for his hostship. Minor aspects such as breakfast, (full range is offered) are usually self service, Main meals are generous and delicious. due to grade 2 listing the normal upgrading of some facilities has proved difficult. so rooms are not en-suite, which fortunately does not bother me. I have stayed several times & shall be there again soon.
Paul and Peter where more than hospitable polite courteous and friendly they let me park my van in the carpark overnight and also offered me a free shower they have good beer and a very warm and friendly atmosphere well done
