What a difference a refurb makes. We had a crisp room, very stylish and a TV that worked this time. Spa could do with a slight re-tile/paint and only 2 women's changing rooms (maybe another one or 2?) Had lunch, good menu. They have a Starbucks on-site but my oat milk cappuccino was like dishwater! Maybe more barista practice needed? However, value for money and I'll be back.
Stayed here for 3 nights with girlfriend while she was on a Slimming World course nearby, could not find hotel at first as its just been taken over by Holiday Inn group and changed name. Staff were very friendly and our room 241 was lovely and warm, cleaners were great and nothing too much trouble. Theres a small gym but well equiped and a pool and sauna. All in all very good and the breakfast is 5 stars. Will stay again. Well done Holiday Inn.
Having stayed here once I wasn't impressed with their customer service. As I was working nights I asked for a room in a quiet area of the hotel. I was given a room and told I would be fine for a quiet sleep. In the morning I was woken by the sound of a drill, I soon realised maintenance was taking place. So after a short and disturbed sleep I checked out. I told the staff at check out my complaint and all they said was they were sorry and advised me to tell them next time when checking in I would be working nights. After repeating that I had asked for a quiet room I was faced with silence. I received a poor service so won't return ever.
Really good hotel. Plenty of parking, comfortable warm room and bathroom. Shower is awesome. Also plenty of plug sockets for charging mobile devices and laptops. Will definitely stay again.
I stayed here for a number of times in last one year. Staff is very professional, service is very good. Nice breakfast. Free parking. Close to M1. Currently they're upgrading to a Holiday Inn. They offer some complimentary services including heat rooms and swimming pool etc. Highly recommended.
