Sad occasion, funeral party ,but the food was excellent ,staff very good atmosphere nice can recommend
Loads of space, friendly staff, broad selection of drinks and some offers to be had. Sunday carvery is good value too.
Stayed in the hotel the room was pretty good and large for two people that I give 3 5 stars. BUT the breakfast side of things was shocking do not go for the continent Breakfast (3 types of cornflakes white toast only orange juice or cranberry juice and the Danish breakfast were all on one plate with no tongues to pick up with hands on only and they wanted 5 45 )
It's really gone down hill. No Sky Sports and the food was a joke. Although the steak burger is still a good burger, the wild west burger that is supposedly topped with crispy onion and served on a bed of lettuce and tomato has no crispy onion, no tomato and wilted lettuce. By the time the crispy onion was served, the meal was cold, no compassion from the staff who informed us that they were out of tomatoes and shrugged when we said that it would have been nice to be informed when we ordered. Very disappointing. It used to be cheap and cheerful, now it's just cheap
I was disappointed in the boundary on Sunday everything needed filling up mash potatoes roasted potatoes carrots even the gravy and at the time there wasn't a queue in fact there was 1 person in front of us just been served with her meat and was struggling with filling her plate as every thing was empty . The chef who was serving the meat etc was very pleasant and friendly and the meat was first class,and I must admit I have been several times this year and it's the first time we've had to ask for so many dishes to be filled up.And becouse of that I will be giving it another try .
